Mercedes-Benz has officially pulled the wraps off the all-new electric C-Class, marking a historic milestone for one of the most iconic nameplates in the automotive world. Revealed on April 20, 2026, the electric C-Class is not just a battery-powered version of its predecessor — it is an entirely reimagined vehicle built from the ground up for the electric era, and it arrives as a direct rival to the Tesla Model 3 and the upcoming BMW i3.

One of the most impressive aspects of the new C-Class Electric is its charging capability. Thanks to 800-volt architecture and support for DC fast charging at up to 330 kW, the car can add approximately 325 kilometres of WLTP range in just 10 minutes — making long-distance travel genuinely stress-free.
The top-of-the-range C 400 4MATIC achieves up to 762 km (473 miles) of WLTP range on its 94 kWh battery, while the upcoming rear-wheel-drive variant is expected to push that figure even further, toward an estimated 800 km (497 miles) WLTP.
Mercedes also notes that efficiency gains come from a suite of engineering innovations, including a multi-source heat pump, a one-box braking system with up to 300 kW of recuperation, and an exceptionally slippery body shape with a drag coefficient starting at just 0.22 Cd.

Inside, the C-Class Electric is a showcase of Mercedes’ latest technology. The headline feature is the optional MBUX Hyperscreen — a colossal 39.1-inch floating touchscreen that spans the entire dashboard. Standard equipment includes a 10.3-inch driver display paired with a 14-inch infotainment screen.
The fourth-generation MB.OS infotainment system is the first to integrate AI from ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing, and Google Gemini simultaneously, enabling highly conversational, context-aware voice commands via the Mercedes Virtual Assistant.
Other notable interior touches include:
Production takes place in Kecskemét, Hungary. European deliveries are expected from late 2026, with U.S. deliveries slated for the first half of 2027. Pricing has not yet been officially confirmed.
